3 Months Down!

Wow I can't believe it's already November! Or better yet that November is half way over. It's hard to believe there's only a month and a half left in the year. So even though I'm miles away from anything related to Thanksgiving I still can't help but think about all that I have to be grateful for and I'm happy to have a long list this year. Of course the first thing I think of is my incredibly loving and supportive family who is always on my mind and whom I miss dearly. Along with that I must mention how grateful I am for skype! Without it I wouldn't have been able to talk to my family literally at least once a day that whole first month I was here. I'm also extremely grateful to be having this adventure and for things to be going so well. I've already learned so much more than I had expected and it's not nearly over. It's hard to believe I've already been here for 3 months. And while there are great days and not so great days (as it goes with anything) overall I'm having a great time and making new friends has helped a great deal. So did the amazing care package my mom sent me last week complete with TEN boxes of Mac n Cheese, a brand new Kate Spade bag, half of my brothers' Halloween candy and plenty of other goodies. Xièxiè Mami!!!!

Not much new going on for me. Lately I've been pretty busy with work plus it's been raining a lot...don't even get me started on the joys of riding a bicycle in the pouring rain or the worthlessness of a 7-11 poncho.

Below I have some pictures from Halloween. For the first time I got to experience a classroom full of children in costumes, hyped up on candy from the Teacher's perspective. At moments it was pretty entertaining and others not so much. Namely when one of my students (who btw has anger issues) broke out into a meltdown because all his candy fell out of his bag. My school rented all the teachers costumes. Mine was supposed to be a vampire but I didn't have any teeth or anything so I was able to convince most of the kids I was actually a witch and they'd better behave or Teacher Ashley would turn them into a frog.

 Trick or Treat!!!

That's all for now! I will make sure I don't wait another month before I post again ;-)

Happy Hump Day!
